Ashish Avikunthak, born Ashish Chadha in Jabalpur in 1972, is an experimental filmmaker and anthropologist who works largely in Bengali and teaches film and media at the University of Rhode Island. Rati Chakravyuh is a single 105-minute take and Kalkimanthankatha transposes Beckett to the 2013 Kumbh Mela. He has shown at Tate Modern and the Centre Pompidou.
