Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury (b. 1964), known in the industry as Tony, moved from advertising into features in 2006. Antaheen took the Golden Lotus for Best Feature Film at the 56th National Film Awards — the national top prize, rarely awarded to a Bengali film. He later directed the Hindi courtroom drama Pink (2016), which won the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues.
